How to Send LearnDash Enrollments to Help Scout

Help Scout is a helpdesk platform. Every LearnDash enrollment should flow into Help Scout automatically. This guide shows how to set that up in five minutes.

The direct approach

What you will need

• A WordPress site with LearnDash installed and at least one course.
• A Help Scout account.
• The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).

Connect Help Scout to AFI

Help Scout uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → Help Scout, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it LearnDash to Help Scout.

2. Pick your trigger

Select LearnDash as the form provider. AFI fires when a student enrolls in a course or completes a lesson, giving you access to student details, course information, and enrollment data.

3. Select Help Scout as the destination

Choose Help Scout from the platform dropdown and pick Create Conversation. This creates a conversation in Help Scout.

4. Map fields

Match each Help Scout field on the left to the corresponding LearnDash field on the right. Common mappings include student name, email, course title, and enrollment date. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain enrollments? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Complete a test enrollment in LearnDash. Check Help Scout to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
