How to Send LearnDash Enrollments to Emma
Emma is a email marketing platform for managing subscribers and campaigns. Every LearnDash enrollment should flow into Emma automatically. This guide shows how to set that up in five minutes.
The direct approach
AFI delivers enrollment and course data straight from WordPress to Emma. No third-party cloud, no per-task fees, and every request is logged for troubleshooting.
What you will need
- A WordPress site with LearnDash installed and at least one course.
- A Emma account.
- The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).
Connect Emma to AFI
Emma uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → Emma, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.
Setting up the integration
1. Create a new integration
Go to AFI → Add New. Name it LearnDash to Emma.
2. Pick your trigger
Select LearnDash as the form provider. AFI fires when a student enrolls in a course or completes a lesson, giving you access to student details, course information, and enrollment data.
3. Select Emma as the destination
Choose Emma from the platform dropdown and pick Add Member. This adds a member to Emma.
4. Map fields
Match each Emma field on the left to the corresponding LearnDash field on the right. Common mappings include student name, email, course title, and enrollment date. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.
5. Add conditions if needed
Only want to send certain enrollments? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.
6. Save and test
Click Save Integration. Complete a test enrollment in LearnDash. Check Emma to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
Free vs Pro
The free version maps email and name to Emma with unlimited enrollments. Pro adds custom field mapping. No per-enrollment fees on any plan.
Frequently asked questions
Which LearnDash events trigger the integration?
AFI fires when a student enrolls in a course or completes a lesson. This covers new enrollments, course completions, and student registrations.
Will adding this slow down my site?
No. AFI sends data to the destination after the enrollment event completes. Your students are not affected.
Can I send enrollments to multiple platforms?
Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every enrollment flows to all of them simultaneously.
