How to Send Hustle Data to Crisp
Crisp is a live chat platform. Events can trigger instant notifications. If you want Hustle opt-in synced to Crisp, you could pay for a cloud automation service. Or you could do it directly from WordPress. This is the direct route.
Why not just use Zapier?
For connecting Hustle to live chat, a cloud automation service adds cost and a dependency on an external server. AFI runs on your site with no task limits.
What you will need
- A WordPress site with Hustle installed and configured.
- A Crisp account.
- The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).
Connect Crisp to AFI
Crisp uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → Crisp, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.
Setting up the integration
1. Create a new integration
Go to AFI → Add New. Name it Hustle to Crisp.
2. Pick your trigger
Select Hustle as the form provider. AFI fires when a visitor submits an opt-in form, giving you access to subscriber name, email, form ID, and page URL.
3. Select Crisp as the destination
Choose Crisp from the platform dropdown and pick Add Contact. This creates a contact in Crisp.
4. Map fields
Match each Crisp field on the left to the corresponding Hustle field on the right. Common mappings include subscriber name, email, form ID, and page URL. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.
5. Add conditions if needed
Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.
6. Save and test
Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in Hustle. Check Crisp to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
Free vs Pro
The free version maps email and name to Crisp with unlimited records. Pro adds custom field mapping. No per-record fees on any plan.
Frequently asked questions
Which Hustle events trigger the integration?
AFI fires when a visitor submits an opt-in form. This covers new submissions and relevant status changes.
Will adding this slow down my site?
No. AFI sends data to the destination after the event completes. Your site performance is not affected.
Can I send data to multiple platforms?
Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every record flows to all of them simultaneously.
