How to Send Happy Forms Submissions to Telegram

Telegram is a messaging platform. Form submissions can trigger instant notifications. Every Happy Forms submission should flow into Telegram automatically. This guide shows how to set that up in five minutes.

The direct approach

What you will need

• A WordPress site with Happy Forms installed and at least one form.
• A Telegram account.
• The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).

Connect Telegram to AFI

1. Create a Telegram Bot via BotFather and copy the bot token.
2. Start a chat with your bot and get the chat ID.
3. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Telegram.
4. Enter the bot token and click Save Changes.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it Happy Forms to Telegram.

2. Pick your trigger

Select Happy Forms as the form provider and choose the form you want to connect. AFI detects the fields automatically.

3. Select Telegram as the destination

Choose Telegram from the platform dropdown and pick Send Message. This sends a message to a Telegram chat via bot.

4. Map fields

Match each Telegram field on the left to the corresponding Happy Forms field on the right. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}} and {{utm_source}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain submissions? Set up a conditional rule based on any form field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Fill out your Happy Forms form and submit. Check Telegram to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
