How to Send Happy Forms Submissions to Fortnox
Fortnox is an accounting platform for managing finances. Getting Happy Forms submissions into Fortnox does not require external tools. Advanced Form Integration handles it natively, and this guide covers every step.
The direct approach
AFI delivers form data straight from WordPress to Fortnox. No third-party cloud, no per-task fees, and every request is logged for troubleshooting.
What you will need
- A WordPress site with Happy Forms installed and at least one form.
- A Fortnox account.
- The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).
Connect Fortnox to AFI
Fortnox uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → Fortnox, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.
Setting up the integration
1. Create a new integration
Go to AFI → Add New. Name it Happy Forms to Fortnox.
2. Pick your trigger
Select Happy Forms as the form provider and choose the form you want to connect. AFI detects the fields automatically.
3. Select Fortnox as the destination
Choose Fortnox from the platform dropdown and pick Add Customer. This creates a customer in Fortnox.
4. Map fields
Match each Fortnox field on the left to the corresponding Happy Forms field on the right. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}} and {{utm_source}}.
5. Add conditions if needed
Only want to send certain submissions? Set up a conditional rule based on any form field value.
6. Save and test
Click Save Integration. Fill out your Happy Forms form and submit. Check Fortnox to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
Free vs Pro
The free version maps name and email to Fortnox with unlimited submissions. Pro adds custom field mapping. No per-submission fees on any plan.
Frequently asked questions
