Tebra (Kareo) is a healthcare platform. GiveWP manages a donation is made, but sending that data to external platforms needs an integration. AFI bridges that gap to Tebra (Kareo).

Why not just use Zapier?

For connecting GiveWP to healthcare, a cloud automation service adds cost and a dependency on an external server. AFI runs on your site with no task limits.

What you will need

  • A WordPress site with GiveWP installed and configured.
  • A Tebra (Kareo) account.
  • The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).

Connect Tebra (Kareo) to AFI

Tebra (Kareo) uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → Tebra (Kareo), click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it GiveWP to Tebra (Kareo).

2. Pick your trigger

Select GiveWP as the form provider. AFI fires when a donation is made, giving you access to donor name, email, donation amount, form ID, and payment method.

3. Select Tebra (Kareo) as the destination

Choose Tebra (Kareo) from the platform dropdown and pick Add Patient. This creates a patient in Tebra.

4. Map fields

Match each Tebra (Kareo) field on the left to the corresponding GiveWP field on the right. Common mappings include donor name, email, donation amount, form ID, and payment method. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in GiveWP. Check Tebra (Kareo) to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.

Free vs Pro

The free version maps name, email, and phone to Tebra (Kareo) with unlimited records. Pro adds custom field mapping. No per-record fees on any plan.

Frequently asked questions

Will adding this slow down my site?

No. AFI sends data to the destination after the event completes. Your site performance is not affected.

Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every record flows to all of them simultaneously.
