How to Send Funnel Builder Data to Kit
Kit is a email marketing platform for managing subscribers and campaigns. Funnel Builder handles a visitor submits a form or completes a step in a funnel on your WordPress site. Kit is where that data needs to go. Here is how to connect them without Zapier or code.
Why connect directly?
Cloud automation tools like Zapier charge per task and route your data through external servers. AFI processes everything on your WordPress site. No per-submission fees, no external dependencies.
What you will need
- A WordPress site with Funnel Builder installed and configured.
- A Kit account.
- The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).
Connect Kit to AFI
- Log in to your Kit account.
- Go to Settings → API and copy your API Key.
- In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Kit.
- Paste the API Key and click Save Changes.
Setting up the integration
1. Create a new integration
Go to AFI → Add New. Name it Funnel Builder to Kit.
2. Pick your trigger
Select Funnel Builder as the form provider. AFI fires when a visitor submits a form or completes a step in a funnel, giving you access to visitor name, email, phone, funnel step, and custom field values.
3. Select Kit as the destination
Choose Kit from the platform dropdown and pick Add Subscriber. This adds a subscriber to Kit.
4. Map fields
Match each Kit field on the left to the corresponding Funnel Builder field on the right. Common mappings include visitor name, email, phone, funnel step, and custom field values. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.
5. Add conditions if needed
Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.
6. Save and test
Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in Funnel Builder. Check Kit to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
Free vs Pro
The free version maps email, first name, and last name to Kit with unlimited records. Pro adds custom field mapping and tag selection. No per-record fees on any plan.
Frequently asked questions
Which Funnel Builder events trigger the integration?
AFI fires when a visitor submits a form or completes a step in a funnel. This covers new submissions and relevant status changes.
Will adding this slow down my site?
No. AFI sends data to the destination after the event completes. Your site performance is not affected.
Can I send data to multiple platforms?
Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every record flows to all of them simultaneously.
