How to Send FormCraft Submissions to Zendesk

Zendesk is a helpdesk platform. FormCraft makes it easy to build conversational forms, but sending data to external platforms needs an integration. AFI bridges that gap to Zendesk.

Why not just use Zapier?

For connecting FormCraft to helpdesk, a cloud automation service adds cost and a dependency on an external server. AFI runs on your site with no task limits.

What you will need

• A WordPress site with FormCraft installed and at least one form.
• A Zendesk account.
• The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).

Connect Zendesk to AFI

Zendesk uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → Zendesk, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it FormCraft to Zendesk.

2. Pick your trigger

Select FormCraft as the form provider and choose the form you want to connect. AFI detects the fields automatically.

3. Select Zendesk as the destination

Choose Zendesk from the platform dropdown and pick Create Ticket. This creates a ticket in Zendesk.

4. Map fields

Match each Zendesk field on the left to the corresponding FormCraft field on the right. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}} and {{utm_source}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain submissions? Set up a conditional rule based on any form field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Fill out your FormCraft form and submit. Check Zendesk to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
