How to Send FluentCRM Data to Mailgun

Mailgun is a email delivery platform for managing subscribers and campaigns. If you want FluentCRM contact synced to Mailgun, you could pay for a cloud automation service. Or you could do it directly from WordPress. This is the direct route.

What you will need

Connect Mailgun to AFI

1. Log in to your Mailgun account.
2. Go to Settings → API Keys and copy your Private API Key.
3. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Mailgun.
4. Enter your domain and API Key, then click Save.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it FluentCRM to Mailgun.

2. Pick your trigger

Select FluentCRM as the form provider. AFI fires when a contact submits a form or a tag is applied, giving you access to contact name, email, phone, tags, and custom field values.

3. Select Mailgun as the destination

Choose Mailgun from the platform dropdown and pick Add Mailing List Member. This adds a member to a Mailgun mailing list.

4. Map fields

Match each Mailgun field on the left to the corresponding FluentCRM field on the right. Common mappings include contact name, email, phone, tags, and custom field values. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in FluentCRM. Check Mailgun to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
