How to Send Fluent Forms Submissions to Dropbox

Dropbox is a file storage platform. Fluent Forms is one of the fastest-growing form plugins for WordPress. Dropbox is where that data needs to go. Here is how to connect them without Zapier or code.

Why not just use Zapier?

What you will need

• A WordPress site with Fluent Forms installed and at least one form.
• A Dropbox account.

Connect Dropbox to AFI

Dropbox uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → Dropbox, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it Fluent Forms to Dropbox.

2. Pick your trigger

Select Fluent Forms as the form provider and choose the form you want to connect. AFI detects the fields automatically.

3. Select Dropbox as the destination

Choose Dropbox from the platform dropdown and pick Upload File. This uploads a file to Dropbox.

4. Map fields

Match each Dropbox field on the left to the corresponding Fluent Forms field on the right. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}} and {{utm_source}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain submissions? Set up a conditional rule based on any form field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Fill out your Fluent form and submit. Check Dropbox to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
