How to Send Fluent Affiliate Data to QuickBooks Online

QuickBooks Online is an accounting platform for managing finances. Fluent Affiliate tracks an affiliate registers or a referral is generated, but sending that data to external platforms needs an integration. AFI bridges that gap to QuickBooks Online.

What you will need

Connect QuickBooks Online to AFI

QuickBooks Online uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → QuickBooks Online, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it Fluent Affiliate to QuickBooks Online.

2. Pick your trigger

Select Fluent Affiliate as the form provider. AFI fires when an affiliate registers or a referral is generated, giving you access to affiliate details, referral amounts, and commission data.

3. Select QuickBooks Online as the destination

Choose QuickBooks Online from the platform dropdown and pick Create Customer. This creates a customer in QuickBooks Online.

4. Map fields

Match each QuickBooks Online field on the left to the corresponding Fluent Affiliate field on the right. Common mappings include affiliate name, email, referral ID, commission amount, and status. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain referrals? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in Fluent Affiliate. Check QuickBooks Online to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
