How to Send Fluent Affiliate Data to Customer.io

Connect Customer.io to AFI

1. Log in to your Customer.io account.
2. Go to Settings → API Credentials and copy your Site ID and API Key.
3. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Customer.io.
4. Enter the Site ID and API Key, then click Save Changes.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it Fluent Affiliate to Customer.io.

2. Pick your trigger

Select Fluent Affiliate as the form provider. AFI fires when an affiliate registers or a referral is generated, giving you access to affiliate details, referral amounts, and commission data.

3. Select Customer.io as the destination

Choose Customer.io from the platform dropdown and pick Add Customer. This creates or updates a customer in Customer.io.

4. Map fields

Match each Customer.io field on the left to the corresponding Fluent Affiliate field on the right. Common mappings include affiliate name, email, referral ID, commission amount, and status. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain referrals? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in Fluent Affiliate. Check Customer.io to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
