ConvertKit is a email marketing platform for managing subscribers and campaigns. Here is how to pipe Fluent Affiliate affiliate data straight into ConvertKit using Advanced Form Integration. The setup takes about five minutes and runs entirely on your own server.

The direct approach

AFI delivers affiliate and referral data straight from WordPress to ConvertKit. No third-party cloud, no per-task fees, and every request is logged for troubleshooting.

What you will need

  • A WordPress site with Fluent Affiliate installed and configured.
  • A ConvertKit account.
  • The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).

Connect ConvertKit to AFI

  1. Log in to your ConvertKit account.
  2. Go to Settings → API and copy your API Key and Secret.
  3. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → ConvertKit.
  4. Enter the API Key and Secret, then click Save.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it Fluent Affiliate to ConvertKit.

2. Pick your trigger

Select Fluent Affiliate as the form provider. AFI fires when an affiliate registers or a referral is generated, giving you access to affiliate details, referral amounts, and commission data.

3. Select ConvertKit as the destination

Choose ConvertKit from the platform dropdown and pick Add Subscriber. This adds a subscriber to ConvertKit.

4. Map fields

Match each ConvertKit field on the left to the corresponding Fluent Affiliate field on the right. Common mappings include affiliate name, email, referral ID, commission amount, and status. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain referrals? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in Fluent Affiliate. Check ConvertKit to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.

Free vs Pro

The free version maps email, first name, and last name to ConvertKit with unlimited referrals. Pro adds custom field mapping and tag assignment. No per-referral fees on any plan.

Frequently asked questions

Which Fluent Affiliate events trigger the integration?

AFI fires when an affiliate registers or a referral is generated. This covers new affiliate registrations, referral creations, and commission status changes.

Will adding this slow down my site?

No. AFI sends data to the destination after the affiliate event completes. Your site performance is not affected.

Can I send affiliate data to multiple platforms?

Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every event flows to all of them simultaneously.
