How to Send Easy Digital Downloads Orders to Dynamics 365 Sales

Dynamics 365 Sales is a CRM that helps you manage contacts and track interactions. Every Easy Digital Downloads sale should flow into Dynamics 365 Sales automatically. This guide shows how to set that up in five minutes.

Connect Dynamics 365 Sales to AFI

Dynamics 365 Sales uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → Dynamics 365 Sales, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it Easy Digital Downloads to Dynamics 365 Sales.

2. Pick your trigger

Select Easy Digital Downloads as the form provider. AFI fires when a purchase is completed, giving you access to customer details, product information, payment data, and download links.

3. Select Dynamics 365 Sales as the destination

Choose Dynamics 365 Sales from the platform dropdown and pick Add Lead. This creates a lead in Dynamics 365 Sales.

4. Map fields

Match each Dynamics 365 Sales field on the left to the corresponding Easy Digital Downloads field on the right. Common mappings include customer name, email, product details, and order total. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain purchases? Set up a conditional rule. For example, only sync completed payments or specific products.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Place a test purchase in your Easy Digital Downloads store. Check Dynamics 365 Sales to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
