How to Send Dokan Data to Insightly
Insightly is a CRM that helps you manage contacts and track interactions. Every Dokan vendor record should flow into Insightly automatically. This guide shows how to set that up in five minutes.
Skip the automation middleman
Rather than routing data through a third-party cloud, AFI sends it directly from your WordPress server to CRM. No task meter, no monthly bill.
What you will need
- A WordPress site with Dokan installed and configured.
- A Insightly account.
- The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).
Connect Insightly to AFI
- Log in to your Insightly account.
- Go to User Settings → API Key and copy it.
- In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Insightly.
- Paste the API Key and click Save Changes.
Setting up the integration
1. Create a new integration
Go to AFI → Add New. Name it Dokan to Insightly.
2. Pick your trigger
Select Dokan as the form provider. AFI fires when a vendor registers or a product is submitted, giving you access to vendor name, email, store name, product title, and store category.
3. Select Insightly as the destination
Choose Insightly from the platform dropdown and pick Create Contact. This creates a contact in Insightly.
4. Map fields
Match each Insightly field on the left to the corresponding Dokan field on the right. Common mappings include vendor name, email, store name, product title, and store category. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.
5. Add conditions if needed
Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.
6. Save and test
Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in Dokan. Check Insightly to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
Free vs Pro
The free version maps name, email, and phone to Insightly with unlimited records. Pro adds custom field mapping and lead creation. No per-record fees on any plan.
Frequently asked questions
Which Dokan events trigger the integration?
AFI fires when a vendor registers or a product is submitted. This covers new submissions and relevant status changes.
Will adding this slow down my site?
No. AFI sends data to the destination after the event completes. Your site performance is not affected.
Can I send data to multiple platforms?
Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every record flows to all of them simultaneously.
