Wrike is a project management tool for organizing work and collaborating. Getting Charitable donation into Wrike does not require external tools. Advanced Form Integration handles it natively, and this guide covers every step.

The direct approach

AFI delivers donation data straight from WordPress to Wrike. No third-party cloud, no per-task fees, and every request is logged for troubleshooting.

What you will need

  • A WordPress site with Charitable installed and configured.
  • A Wrike account.
  • The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).

Connect Wrike to AFI

Wrike uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → Wrike, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it Charitable to Wrike.

2. Pick your trigger

Select Charitable as the form provider. AFI fires when a donation is made through a fundraising campaign, giving you access to donor name, email, donation amount, campaign ID, and gateway.

3. Select Wrike as the destination

Choose Wrike from the platform dropdown and pick Create Task. This creates a task in Wrike.

4. Map fields

Match each Wrike field on the left to the corresponding Charitable field on the right. Common mappings include donor name, email, donation amount, campaign ID, and gateway. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in Charitable. Check Wrike to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.

Free vs Pro

The free version maps title and description to Wrike with unlimited records. Pro adds custom field mapping. No per-record fees on any plan.

Frequently asked questions

Which Charitable events trigger the integration?

AFI fires when a donation is made through a fundraising campaign. This covers new submissions and relevant status changes.

Will adding this slow down my site?

No. AFI sends data to the destination after the event completes. Your site performance is not affected.

Can I send data to multiple platforms?

Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every record flows to all of them simultaneously.
