How to Send Charitable Data to Sarbacane

Sarbacane is a email marketing platform for managing subscribers and campaigns. Charitable handles a donation is made through a fundraising campaign on your WordPress site. Sarbacane is where that data needs to go. Here is how to connect them without Zapier or code.

Connect Sarbacane to AFI

Sarbacane uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → Sarbacane, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it Charitable to Sarbacane.

2. Pick your trigger

Select Charitable as the form provider. AFI fires when a donation is made through a fundraising campaign, giving you access to donor name, email, donation amount, campaign ID, and gateway.

3. Select Sarbacane as the destination

Choose Sarbacane from the platform dropdown and pick Add Contact. This adds a contact to Sarbacane.

4. Map fields

Match each Sarbacane field on the left to the corresponding Charitable field on the right. Common mappings include donor name, email, donation amount, campaign ID, and gateway. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in Charitable. Check Sarbacane to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
