Copper CRM is a CRM that helps you manage contacts and track interactions. Getting Charitable donation into Copper CRM does not require external tools. Advanced Form Integration handles it natively, and this guide covers every step.

Skip the automation middleman

Rather than routing data through a third-party cloud, AFI sends it directly from your WordPress server to CRM. No task meter, no monthly bill.

What you will need

  • A WordPress site with Charitable installed and configured.
  • A Copper CRM account.
  • The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).

Connect Copper CRM to AFI

  1. Log in to your Copper CRM account.
  2. Go to Settings → Integrations → API Keys and copy your API Key.
  3. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Copper.
  4. Enter your email and API Key, then click Save.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it Charitable to Copper CRM.

2. Pick your trigger

Select Charitable as the form provider. AFI fires when a donation is made through a fundraising campaign, giving you access to donor name, email, donation amount, campaign ID, and gateway.

3. Select Copper CRM as the destination

Choose Copper CRM from the platform dropdown and pick Create Person. This creates a person in Copper CRM.

4. Map fields

Match each Copper CRM field on the left to the corresponding Charitable field on the right. Common mappings include donor name, email, donation amount, campaign ID, and gateway. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in Charitable. Check Copper CRM to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.

Free vs Pro

The free version maps name, email, and phone to Copper CRM with unlimited records. Pro adds custom field mapping. No per-record fees on any plan.

Frequently asked questions

Which Charitable events trigger the integration?

AFI fires when a donation is made through a fundraising campaign. This covers new submissions and relevant status changes.

Will adding this slow down my site?

No. AFI sends data to the destination after the event completes. Your site performance is not affected.

Can I send data to multiple platforms?

Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every record flows to all of them simultaneously.
