How to Send CartFlows Orders to Constant Contact
Constant Contact is a email marketing platform for managing subscribers and campaigns. CartFlows processes an order is completed through a flow beautifully, but sending that data to external platforms needs an integration. AFI bridges that gap to Constant Contact.
Why not just use Zapier?
For connecting email marketing, a cloud automation service adds cost and a dependency on an external server. AFI runs on your site with no task limits.
What you will need
- A WordPress site with CartFlows installed and configured.
- A Constant Contact account.
- The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).
Connect Constant Contact to AFI
Constant Contact uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → Constant Contact, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.
Setting up the integration
1. Create a new integration
Go to AFI → Add New. Name it CartFlows to Constant Contact.
2. Pick your trigger
Select CartFlows as the form provider. AFI fires when an order is completed through a flow, giving you access to customer details, product information, and order totals.
3. Select Constant Contact as the destination
Choose Constant Contact from the platform dropdown and pick Add Contact. This adds a contact to Constant Contact.
4. Map fields
Match each Constant Contact field on the left to the corresponding CartFlows field on the right. Common mappings include customer name, email, product details, and order total. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.
5. Add conditions if needed
Only want to send certain orders? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.
6. Save and test
Click Save Integration. Place a test order in your CartFlows store. Check Constant Contact to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
Free vs Pro
The free version maps email, first name, and last name to Constant Contact with unlimited orders. Pro adds custom field mapping. No per-order fees on any plan.
Frequently asked questions
Which CartFlows events trigger the integration?
AFI fires when an order is completed through a flow. This covers new orders, customer details, and product information.
Will adding this slow down my checkout?
No. AFI sends data to the destination after the order is processed. Your customers complete checkout normally without any delay.
Can I send orders to multiple platforms?
Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every order flows to all of them simultaneously.
