How to Send Caldera Forms Submissions to Trello

Trello is a project management tool for organizing work and collaborating. Every Caldera Forms submission should flow into Trello automatically. This guide shows how to set that up in five minutes.

What you will need

• A WordPress site with Caldera Forms installed and at least one form.
• A Trello account.

Connect Trello to AFI

1. Go to trello.com/1/appKey to get your API Key.
2. Authorize and get your API Token.
3. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Trello.
4. Enter the API Key and Token, then click Save.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it Caldera Forms to Trello.

2. Pick your trigger

Select Caldera Forms as the form provider and choose the form you want to connect. AFI detects the fields automatically.

3. Select Trello as the destination

Choose Trello from the platform dropdown and pick Create Card. This creates a card on a Trello board.

4. Map fields

Match each Trello field on the left to the corresponding Caldera Forms field on the right. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}} and {{utm_source}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain submissions? Set up a conditional rule based on any form field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Fill out your Caldera Forms form and submit. Check Trello to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
