What you will need

Connect Smartlead to AFI

1. Log in to your Smartlead account.
2. Go to Settings → API and copy your API Key.
3. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Smartlead.
4. Paste the API Key and click Save Changes.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it BuddyBoss to Smartlead.

2. Pick your trigger

Select BuddyBoss as the form provider. AFI fires when a member registers, updates their profile, or joins a group, giving you access to member details, profile fields, and activity data.

3. Select Smartlead as the destination

Choose Smartlead from the platform dropdown and pick Add Lead. This adds a lead to a Smartlead campaign.

4. Map fields

Match each Smartlead field on the left to the corresponding BuddyBoss field on the right. Common mappings include member name, email, profile data, and activity type. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain activities? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Trigger a test a member registers, updates their profile, or joins a group in BuddyBoss. Check Smartlead to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
