How to Send BuddyBoss Data to Sendlane
Sendlane is a email marketing platform for managing subscribers and campaigns. If you want BuddyBoss activity in Sendlane, you could pay for a cloud automation service. Or you could do it directly from WordPress. This is the direct route.
Why connect directly?
Cloud automation tools like Zapier charge per task and route your data through external servers. AFI processes everything on your WordPress site. No per-registration fees, no external dependencies.
What you will need
- A WordPress site with BuddyBoss installed and configured.
- A Sendlane account.
- The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).
Connect Sendlane to AFI
- Log in to your Sendlane account.
- Go to Settings → API and copy your API Key and Hash.
- In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Sendlane.
- Enter the API Key, Hash, and subdomain, then click Save.
Setting up the integration
1. Create a new integration
Go to AFI → Add New. Name it BuddyBoss to Sendlane.
2. Pick your trigger
Select BuddyBoss as the form provider. AFI fires when a member registers, updates their profile, or joins a group, giving you access to member details, profile fields, and activity data.
3. Select Sendlane as the destination
Choose Sendlane from the platform dropdown and pick Add Contact. This adds a contact to Sendlane.
4. Map fields
Match each Sendlane field on the left to the corresponding BuddyBoss field on the right. Common mappings include member name, email, profile data, and activity type. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.
5. Add conditions if needed
Only want to send certain activities? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.
6. Save and test
Click Save Integration. Trigger a test a member registers, updates their profile, or joins a group in BuddyBoss. Check Sendlane to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
Free vs Pro
The free version maps email, first name, and last name to Sendlane with unlimited events. Pro adds custom field mapping and tag assignment. No per-event fees on any plan.
Frequently asked questions
Which BuddyBoss events trigger the integration?
AFI fires when a member registers, updates their profile, or joins a group. This covers member registrations, profile updates, and group joins.
Will adding this slow down my site?
No. AFI sends data to the destination after the community event completes. Your members are not affected.
Can I send member data to multiple platforms?
Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every event flows to all of them simultaneously.
