Keap is a CRM and automation that helps you manage contacts and track interactions. If you want BuddyBoss activity in Keap, you could pay for a cloud automation service. Or you could do it directly from WordPress. This is the direct route.

Why connect directly?

Cloud automation tools like Zapier charge per task and route your data through external servers. AFI processes everything on your WordPress site. No per-registration fees, no external dependencies.

What you will need

  • A WordPress site with BuddyBoss installed and configured.
  • A Keap account.
  • The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).

Connect Keap to AFI

Keap uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → Keap, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it BuddyBoss to Keap.

2. Pick your trigger

Select BuddyBoss as the form provider. AFI fires when a member registers, updates their profile, or joins a group, giving you access to member details, profile fields, and activity data.

3. Select Keap as the destination

Choose Keap from the platform dropdown and pick Add Contact. This creates or updates a contact in Keap.

4. Map fields

Match each Keap field on the left to the corresponding BuddyBoss field on the right. Common mappings include member name, email, profile data, and activity type. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain activities? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Trigger a test a member registers, updates their profile, or joins a group in BuddyBoss. Check Keap to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.

Free vs Pro

The free version maps email, first name, and last name to Keap with unlimited events. Pro adds custom field mapping, tags, and opportunity creation. No per-event fees on any plan.

Frequently asked questions

Which BuddyBoss events trigger the integration?

AFI fires when a member registers, updates their profile, or joins a group. This covers member registrations, profile updates, and group joins.

Will adding this slow down my site?

No. AFI sends data to the destination after the community event completes. Your members are not affected.

Can I send member data to multiple platforms?

Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every event flows to all of them simultaneously.
