Google Drive is a file storage platform. Every BuddyBoss a member registers, updates their profile, or joins a group should flow into Google Drive automatically. This guide shows how to set that up in five minutes.

Skip the automation middleman

Rather than routing data through a third-party cloud, AFI sends it directly from your WordPress server to file storage. No task meter, no monthly bill.

What you will need

  • A WordPress site with BuddyBoss installed and configured.
  • A Google Drive account.
  • The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).

Connect Google Drive to AFI

Google Drive uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → Google Drive, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it BuddyBoss to Google Drive.

2. Pick your trigger

Select BuddyBoss as the form provider. AFI fires when a member registers, updates their profile, or joins a group, giving you access to member details, profile fields, and activity data.

3. Select Google Drive as the destination

Choose Google Drive from the platform dropdown and pick Upload File. This uploads a file to Google Drive.

4. Map fields

Match each Google Drive field on the left to the corresponding BuddyBoss field on the right. Common mappings include member name, email, profile data, and activity type. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain activities? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Trigger a test a member registers, updates their profile, or joins a group in BuddyBoss. Check Google Drive to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.

Free vs Pro

The free version maps file content and filename to Google Drive with unlimited events. Pro adds folder selection. No per-event fees on any plan.

Frequently asked questions

Which BuddyBoss events trigger the integration?

AFI fires when a member registers, updates their profile, or joins a group. This covers member registrations, profile updates, and group joins.

Will adding this slow down my site?

No. AFI sends data to the destination after the community event completes. Your members are not affected.

Can I send member data to multiple platforms?

Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every event flows to all of them simultaneously.

Get started

Install Advanced Form Integration free from WordPress.org and connect BuddyBoss to Google Drive in minutes.
