How to Send BuddyBoss Data to FreeAgent

FreeAgent is an accounting platform for managing finances. BuddyBoss powers your WordPress community. FreeAgent is where member data needs to go. Here is how to connect them without Zapier or code.

What you will need

• A WordPress site with BuddyBoss installed and configured.
• A FreeAgent account.
• The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).

Connect FreeAgent to AFI

FreeAgent uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → FreeAgent, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it BuddyBoss to FreeAgent.

2. Pick your trigger

Select BuddyBoss as the form provider. AFI fires when a member registers, updates their profile, or joins a group, giving you access to member details, profile fields, and activity data.

3. Select FreeAgent as the destination

Choose FreeAgent from the platform dropdown and pick Add Contact. This creates a contact in FreeAgent.

4. Map fields

Match each FreeAgent field on the left to the corresponding BuddyBoss field on the right. Common mappings include member name, email, profile data, and activity type. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain activities? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Trigger a test a member registers, updates their profile, or joins a group in BuddyBoss. Check FreeAgent to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
