How to Send Bookly Data to Slack

Slack is a messaging platform. Events can trigger instant notifications. If you want Bookly appointment synced to Slack, you could pay for a cloud automation service. Or you could do it directly from WordPress. This is the direct route.

What you will need

Connect Slack to AFI

Slack uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → Slack, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it Bookly to Slack.

2. Pick your trigger

Select Bookly as the form provider. AFI fires when an appointment is booked, giving you access to customer name, email, phone, service name, staff member, appointment date, and time.

3. Select Slack as the destination

Choose Slack from the platform dropdown and pick Send Message. This sends a message to a Slack channel.

4. Map fields

Match each Slack field on the left to the corresponding Bookly field on the right. Common mappings include customer name, email, phone, service name, staff member, appointment date, and time. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in Bookly. Check Slack to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
