How to Send Bookly Data to Marketo
Marketo is a marketing automation platform. Bookly manages an appointment is booked, but sending that data to external platforms needs an integration. AFI bridges that gap to Marketo.
Why connect directly?
Cloud automation tools like Zapier charge per task and route your data through external servers. AFI processes everything on your WordPress site. No per-appointment fees, no external dependencies.
What you will need
- A WordPress site with Bookly installed and configured.
- A Marketo account.
- The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).
Connect Marketo to AFI
- Log in to your Marketo instance.
- Go to Admin → Integration → REST API and create a Launchpoint service.
- In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Marketo.
- Enter the Client ID, Client Secret, and Munchkin ID, then click Save.
Setting up the integration
1. Create a new integration
Go to AFI → Add New. Name it Bookly to Marketo.
2. Pick your trigger
Select Bookly as the form provider. AFI fires when an appointment is booked, giving you access to customer name, email, phone, service name, staff member, appointment date, and time.
3. Select Marketo as the destination
Choose Marketo from the platform dropdown and pick Add Lead. This creates or updates a lead in Marketo.
4. Map fields
Match each Marketo field on the left to the corresponding Bookly field on the right. Common mappings include customer name, email, phone, service name, staff member, appointment date, and time. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.
5. Add conditions if needed
Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.
6. Save and test
Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in Bookly. Check Marketo to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
Free vs Pro
The free version maps email, first name, and last name to Marketo with unlimited records. Pro adds custom field mapping and list assignment. No per-record fees on any plan.
Frequently asked questions
Which Bookly events trigger the integration?

Will adding this slow down my site?
No. AFI sends data to the destination after the event completes. Your site performance is not affected.
Can I send data to multiple platforms?
Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every record flows to all of them simultaneously.
