Tawk.to is a live chat platform. Events can trigger instant notifications. Getting ARForms submission into Tawk.to does not require external tools. Advanced Form Integration handles it natively, and this guide covers every step.

The direct approach

AFI delivers submission data straight from WordPress to Tawk.to. No third-party cloud, no per-task fees, and every request is logged for troubleshooting.

What you will need

  • A WordPress site with ARForms installed and configured.
  • A Tawk.to account.
  • The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).

Connect Tawk.to to AFI

  1. Log in to your Tawk.to account.
  2. Copy your API Key and Property ID.
  3. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Tawk.to.
  4. Enter the credentials and click Save.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it ARForms to Tawk.to.

2. Pick your trigger

Select ARForms as the form provider. AFI fires when a form is submitted, giving you access to submitter name, email, phone, and any custom form fields.

3. Select Tawk.to as the destination

Choose Tawk.to from the platform dropdown and pick Add Property. This adds a property in Tawk.to.

4. Map fields

Match each Tawk.to field on the left to the corresponding ARForms field on the right. Common mappings include submitter name, email, phone, and any custom form fields. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in ARForms. Check Tawk.to to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.

Free vs Pro

The free version maps name and email to Tawk.to with unlimited records. Pro adds custom field mapping. No per-record fees on any plan.

Frequently asked questions

Which ARForms events trigger the integration?

Will adding this slow down my site?

No. AFI sends data to the destination after the event completes. Your site performance is not affected.

Can I send data to multiple platforms?

Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every record flows to all of them simultaneously.
