Notion is a productivity and database platform. ARForms manages a form is submitted, but sending that data to external platforms needs an integration. AFI bridges that gap to Notion.

Why connect directly?

Cloud automation tools like Zapier charge per task and route your data through external servers. AFI processes everything on your WordPress site. No per-submission fees, no external dependencies.

What you will need

  • A WordPress site with ARForms installed and configured.
  • A Notion account.
  • The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).

Connect Notion to AFI

  1. Go to your Notion workspace and create an integration at notion.so/my-integrations.
  2. Copy the Internal Integration Secret.
  3. Share your target database with the integration.
  4. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Notion and paste the token.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it ARForms to Notion.

2. Pick your trigger

Select ARForms as the form provider. AFI fires when a form is submitted, giving you access to submitter name, email, phone, and any custom form fields.

3. Select Notion as the destination

Choose Notion from the platform dropdown and pick Add Database Item. This creates a new item in a Notion database.

4. Map fields

Match each Notion field on the left to the corresponding ARForms field on the right. Common mappings include submitter name, email, phone, and any custom form fields. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in ARForms. Check Notion to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.

Free vs Pro

The free version maps title, and standard properties to Notion with unlimited records. Pro adds custom property mapping for all Notion field types. No per-record fees on any plan.

Frequently asked questions

Which ARForms events trigger the integration?

AFI fires when a form is submitted. This covers new submissions and relevant status changes.

Will adding this slow down my site?

No. AFI sends data to the destination after the event completes. Your site performance is not affected.

Can I send data to multiple platforms?

Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every record flows to all of them simultaneously.
