Marketo is a marketing automation platform. ARForms manages a form is submitted, but sending that data to external platforms needs an integration. AFI bridges that gap to Marketo.

Why connect directly?

Cloud automation tools like Zapier charge per task and route your data through external servers. AFI processes everything on your WordPress site. No per-submission fees, no external dependencies.

What you will need

  • A WordPress site with ARForms installed and configured.
  • A Marketo account.
  • The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).

Connect Marketo to AFI

  1. Log in to your Marketo instance.
  2. Go to Admin → Integration → REST API and create a Launchpoint service.
  3. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Marketo.
  4. Enter the Client ID, Client Secret, and Munchkin ID, then click Save.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it ARForms to Marketo.

2. Pick your trigger

Select ARForms as the form provider. AFI fires when a form is submitted, giving you access to submitter name, email, phone, and any custom form fields.

3. Select Marketo as the destination

Choose Marketo from the platform dropdown and pick Add Lead. This creates or updates a lead in Marketo.

4. Map fields

Match each Marketo field on the left to the corresponding ARForms field on the right. Common mappings include submitter name, email, phone, and any custom form fields. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in ARForms. Check Marketo to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.

Free vs Pro

The free version maps email, first name, and last name to Marketo with unlimited records. Pro adds custom field mapping and list assignment. No per-record fees on any plan.

Frequently asked questions

Which ARForms events trigger the integration?

AFI fires when a form is submitted. This covers new submissions and relevant status changes.

Will adding this slow down my site?

No. AFI sends data to the destination after the event completes. Your site performance is not affected.

Can I send data to multiple platforms?

Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every record flows to all of them simultaneously.
