MailUp is a email marketing platform for managing subscribers and campaigns. Every Amelia booking record should flow into MailUp automatically. This guide shows how to set that up in five minutes.

The direct approach

AFI delivers booking data straight from WordPress to MailUp. No third-party cloud, no per-task fees, and every request is logged for troubleshooting.

What you will need

  • A WordPress site with Amelia installed and configured.
  • A MailUp account.
  • The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).

Connect MailUp to AFI

MailUp uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → MailUp, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it Amelia to MailUp.

2. Pick your trigger

Select Amelia as the form provider. AFI fires when an appointment or booking is made, giving you access to customer name, email, phone, service name, appointment date, and booking status.

3. Select MailUp as the destination

Choose MailUp from the platform dropdown and pick Add Subscriber. This adds a subscriber to MailUp.

4. Map fields

Match each MailUp field on the left to the corresponding Amelia field on the right. Common mappings include customer name, email, phone, service name, appointment date, and booking status. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in Amelia. Check MailUp to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.

Free vs Pro

The free version maps email and name to MailUp with unlimited records. Pro adds custom field mapping. No per-record fees on any plan.

Frequently asked questions

Which Amelia events trigger the integration?

AFI fires when an appointment or booking is made. This covers new submissions and relevant status changes.

Will adding this slow down my site?

No. AFI sends data to the destination after the event completes. Your site performance is not affected.

Can I send data to multiple platforms?

Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every record flows to all of them simultaneously.
