How to Send Quill Forms Data to Xero

Xero is an accounting platform for managing finances. If you want Quill Forms submission synced to Xero, you could pay for a cloud automation service. Or you could do it directly from WordPress. This is the direct route.

What you will need

• A WordPress site with Quill Forms installed and configured.
• A Xero account.
• The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).

Connect Xero to AFI

Xero uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → Xero, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it Quill Forms to Xero.

2. Pick your trigger

Select Quill Forms as the form provider. AFI fires when a conversational form is completed, giving you access to respondent name, email, phone, and any custom form answers.

3. Select Xero as the destination

Choose Xero from the platform dropdown and pick Add Contact. This creates a contact in Xero.

4. Map fields

Match each Xero field on the left to the corresponding Quill Forms field on the right. Common mappings include respondent name, email, phone, and any custom form answers. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in Quill Forms. Check Xero to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
