How to Send Ultimate Member Data to Customer.io

Connect Customer.io to AFI

1. Log in to your Customer.io account.
2. Go to Settings → API Credentials and copy your Site ID and API Key.
3. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Customer.io.
4. Enter the Site ID and API Key, then click Save Changes.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it Ultimate Member to Customer.io.

2. Pick your trigger

Select Ultimate Member as the form provider. AFI fires when a user registers or updates their profile, giving you access to user name, email, username, account type, and custom profile fields.

3. Select Customer.io as the destination

Choose Customer.io from the platform dropdown and pick Add Customer. This creates or updates a customer in Customer.io.

4. Map fields

Match each Customer.io field on the left to the corresponding Ultimate Member field on the right. Common mappings include user name, email, username, account type, and custom profile fields. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in Ultimate Member. Check Customer.io to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
