How to Send Ultimate Member Data to Attentive
Attentive is a SMS marketing platform. Every Ultimate Member registration record should flow into Attentive automatically. This guide shows how to set that up in five minutes.
The direct approach
AFI delivers registration data straight from WordPress to Attentive. No third-party cloud, no per-task fees, and every request is logged for troubleshooting.
What you will need
- A WordPress site with Ultimate Member installed and configured.
- A Attentive account.
- The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).
Connect Attentive to AFI
- Log in to your Attentive account.
- Go to Settings → API and copy your API Key.
- In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Attentive.
- Paste the API Key and click Save Changes.
Setting up the integration
1. Create a new integration
Go to AFI → Add New. Name it Ultimate Member to Attentive.
2. Pick your trigger
Select Ultimate Member as the form provider. AFI fires when a user registers or updates their profile, giving you access to user name, email, username, account type, and custom profile fields.
3. Select Attentive as the destination
Choose Attentive from the platform dropdown and pick Add Subscriber. This subscribes a contact in Attentive.
4. Map fields
Match each Attentive field on the left to the corresponding Ultimate Member field on the right. Common mappings include user name, email, username, account type, and custom profile fields. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.
5. Add conditions if needed
Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.
6. Save and test
Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in Ultimate Member. Check Attentive to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
Free vs Pro
The free version maps phone number to Attentive with unlimited records. Pro adds custom field mapping. No per-record fees on any plan.
Frequently asked questions
Which Ultimate Member events trigger the integration?
AFI fires when a user registers or updates their profile. This covers new submissions and relevant status changes.
Will adding this slow down my site?
No. AFI sends data to the destination after the event completes. Your site performance is not affected.
Can I send data to multiple platforms?
Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every record flows to all of them simultaneously.
