How to Send Charitable Data to Personio

Connect Personio to AFI

Personio uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → Personio, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it Charitable to Personio.

2. Pick your trigger

Select Charitable as the form provider. AFI fires when a donation is made through a fundraising campaign, giving you access to donor name, email, donation amount, campaign ID, and gateway.

3. Select Personio as the destination

Choose Personio from the platform dropdown and pick Add Employee. This creates an employee record in Personio.

4. Map fields

Match each Personio field on the left to the corresponding Charitable field on the right. Common mappings include donor name, email, donation amount, campaign ID, and gateway. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in Charitable. Check Personio to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
