How to Send Charitable Data to ON24
ON24 is a webinar platform for hosting online events and sessions. Getting Charitable donation into ON24 does not require external tools. Advanced Form Integration handles it natively, and this guide covers every step.
The direct approach
AFI delivers donation data straight from WordPress to ON24. No third-party cloud, no per-task fees, and every request is logged for troubleshooting.
What you will need
- A WordPress site with Charitable installed and configured.
- A ON24 account.
- The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).
Connect ON24 to AFI
- Log in to your ON24 account.
- Go to Settings → API and copy your API Key.
- In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → ON24.
- Paste the API Key and Client Key, then click Save.
Setting up the integration
1. Create a new integration
Go to AFI → Add New. Name it Charitable to ON24.
2. Pick your trigger
Select Charitable as the form provider. AFI fires when a donation is made through a fundraising campaign, giving you access to donor name, email, donation amount, campaign ID, and gateway.
3. Select ON24 as the destination
Choose ON24 from the platform dropdown and pick Register for Event. This registers a contact for an ON24 event.
4. Map fields
Match each ON24 field on the left to the corresponding Charitable field on the right. Common mappings include donor name, email, donation amount, campaign ID, and gateway. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.
5. Add conditions if needed
Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.
6. Save and test
Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in Charitable. Check ON24 to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
Free vs Pro
The free version maps email, first name, and last name to ON24 with unlimited records. Pro adds custom field mapping and session selection. No per-record fees on any plan.
Frequently asked questions
Which Charitable events trigger the integration?
AFI fires when a donation is made through a fundraising campaign. This covers new submissions and relevant status changes.
Will adding this slow down my site?
No. AFI sends data to the destination after the event completes. Your site performance is not affected.
Can I send data to multiple platforms?
Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every record flows to all of them simultaneously.
