How to Send Fluent Affiliate Data to Shopify

Shopify is a e-commerce platform. Here is how to pipe Fluent Affiliate affiliate data straight into Shopify using Advanced Form Integration. The setup takes about five minutes and runs entirely on your own server.

What you will need

Connect Shopify to AFI

Shopify uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → Shopify, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it Fluent Affiliate to Shopify.

2. Pick your trigger

Select Fluent Affiliate as the form provider. AFI fires when an affiliate registers or a referral is generated, giving you access to affiliate details, referral amounts, and commission data.

3. Select Shopify as the destination

Choose Shopify from the platform dropdown and pick Create Customer. This creates a customer in Shopify.

4. Map fields

Match each Shopify field on the left to the corresponding Fluent Affiliate field on the right. Common mappings include affiliate name, email, referral ID, commission amount, and status. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain referrals? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in Fluent Affiliate. Check Shopify to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
