How to Send Fluent Affiliate Data to MailUp
MailUp is a email marketing platform for managing subscribers and campaigns. Every Fluent Affiliate an affiliate registers or a referral is generated should flow into MailUp automatically. This guide shows how to set that up in five minutes.
The direct approach
AFI delivers affiliate and referral data straight from WordPress to MailUp. No third-party cloud, no per-task fees, and every request is logged for troubleshooting.
What you will need
- A WordPress site with Fluent Affiliate installed and configured.
- A MailUp account.
- The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).
Connect MailUp to AFI
MailUp uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → MailUp, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.
Setting up the integration
1. Create a new integration
Go to AFI → Add New. Name it Fluent Affiliate to MailUp.
2. Pick your trigger
Select Fluent Affiliate as the form provider. AFI fires when an affiliate registers or a referral is generated, giving you access to affiliate details, referral amounts, and commission data.
3. Select MailUp as the destination
Choose MailUp from the platform dropdown and pick Add Subscriber. This adds a subscriber to MailUp.
4. Map fields
Match each MailUp field on the left to the corresponding Fluent Affiliate field on the right. Common mappings include affiliate name, email, referral ID, commission amount, and status. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.
5. Add conditions if needed
Only want to send certain referrals? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.
6. Save and test
Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in Fluent Affiliate. Check MailUp to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
Free vs Pro
The free version maps email and name to MailUp with unlimited referrals. Pro adds custom field mapping. No per-referral fees on any plan.
Frequently asked questions
Which Fluent Affiliate events trigger the integration?
AFI fires when an affiliate registers or a referral is generated. This covers new affiliate registrations, referral creations, and commission status changes.
Will adding this slow down my site?
No. AFI sends data to the destination after the affiliate event completes. Your site performance is not affected.
Can I send affiliate data to multiple platforms?
Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every event flows to all of them simultaneously.
