How to Send BuddyBoss Data to Fortnox
Fortnox is an accounting platform for managing finances. Here is how to pipe BuddyBoss data straight into Fortnox using Advanced Form Integration. The setup takes about five minutes and runs entirely on your own server.
The direct approach
AFI delivers member and activity data straight from WordPress to Fortnox. No third-party cloud, no per-task fees, and every request is logged for troubleshooting.
What you will need
- A WordPress site with BuddyBoss installed and configured.
- A Fortnox account.
- The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).
Connect Fortnox to AFI
Fortnox uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → Fortnox, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.
Setting up the integration
1. Create a new integration
Go to AFI → Add New. Name it BuddyBoss to Fortnox.
2. Pick your trigger
Select BuddyBoss as the form provider. AFI fires when a member registers, updates their profile, or joins a group, giving you access to member details, profile fields, and activity data.
3. Select Fortnox as the destination
Choose Fortnox from the platform dropdown and pick Add Customer. This creates a customer in Fortnox.
4. Map fields
Match each Fortnox field on the left to the corresponding BuddyBoss field on the right. Common mappings include member name, email, profile data, and activity type. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.
5. Add conditions if needed
Only want to send certain activities? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.
6. Save and test
Click Save Integration. Trigger a test a member registers, updates their profile, or joins a group in BuddyBoss. Check Fortnox to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
Free vs Pro
The free version maps name and email to Fortnox with unlimited events. Pro adds custom field mapping. No per-event fees on any plan.
Frequently asked questions
Which BuddyBoss events trigger the integration?
AFI fires when a member registers, updates their profile, or joins a group. This covers member registrations, profile updates, and group joins.
Will adding this slow down my site?
No. AFI sends data to the destination after the community event completes. Your members are not affected.
Can I send member data to multiple platforms?
Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every event flows to all of them simultaneously.
