How to Send SureCart Orders to Intercom

Intercom is a customer messaging platform. Order events can trigger instant notifications. Here is how to pipe SureCart order data straight into Intercom using Advanced Form Integration. The setup takes about five minutes and runs entirely on your own server.

What you will need

• A WordPress site with SureCart installed and configured.

Connect Intercom to AFI

1. Log in to your Intercom workspace.
2. Go to Settings → API Keys and copy your Access Token.
3. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Intercom.
4. Paste the Access Token and click Save Changes.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it SureCart to Intercom.

2. Pick your trigger

Select SureCart as the form provider. AFI fires when a checkout or order is completed, giving you access to customer details, product information, and order totals.

3. Select Intercom as the destination

Choose Intercom from the platform dropdown and pick Add Contact. This creates or updates a contact in Intercom.

4. Map fields

Match each Intercom field on the left to the corresponding SureCart field on the right. Common mappings include customer name, email, product details, and order total. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain orders? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Place a test order in your SureCart store. Check Intercom to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
