BombBomb lets you record and send video emails. Getting form contacts into BombBomb means you can follow up with a face.

Here is how to pipe Contact Form 7 submissions straight into BombBomb using Advanced Form Integration. The setup takes about five minutes and runs entirely on your own server.

Why not just use Zapier?

For a single connection between Contact Form 7 and video email marketing, a cloud automation service is overkill. AFI runs on your site, so there is no task meter, no monthly bill that grows with your traffic, and no third party seeing your data.

What you will need

  • A WordPress site with Contact Form 7 installed and at least one form.
  • A BombBomb account.
  • The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).

Connect BombBomb to AFI

  1. Log in to your BombBomb account.
  2. Go to Profile → Integrations → API and copy your API Key.
  3. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → BombBomb.
  4. Paste the API Key and click Save Changes.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Give it a name like CF7 to BombBomb.

2. Pick your trigger

Select Contact Form 7 as the form provider and choose the form you want to connect. AFI detects the fields automatically.

3. Select BombBomb as the destination

Choose BombBomb from the platform dropdown and select Add Contact. This adds a contact to a BombBomb list.

4. Map fields

Match each BombBomb field on the left to the corresponding Contact Form 7 field on the right. You can also insert static text or dynamic smart tags like {{_submission_date}} and {{user_ip}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain submissions? Set up a conditional rule. For example, only create a record when a checkbox is checked or when the email field is not empty.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Fill out your form and submit. Check BombBomb to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.

Free vs Pro

The free version maps email, first name, and last name to BombBomb with unlimited submissions. Pro unlocks custom field mapping. No per-submission fees on any plan.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need coding skills?

No. Everything is configured through a visual interface, including field mapping.

Will adding this slow down my form?

No. AFI sends data to BombBomb after the form submission completes. Your visitors see the normal success message without any delay.

What if BombBomb is down when a form is submitted?

AFI queues the data via background processing and retries automatically. You can also manually resend from the log screen.
