How to Send Quill Forms Data to Segment

Segment is a customer data platform. If you want Quill Forms submission synced to Segment, you could pay for a cloud automation service. Or you could do it directly from WordPress. This is the direct route.

What you will need

• A WordPress site with Quill Forms installed and configured.

Connect Segment to AFI

1. Get your Segment Write Key.
2. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Segment.
3. Paste the Write Key.
4. Click Save Changes.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it Quill Forms to Segment.

2. Pick your trigger

Select Quill Forms as the form provider. AFI fires when a conversational form is completed, giving you access to respondent name, email, phone, and any custom form answers.

3. Select Segment as the destination

Choose Segment from the platform dropdown and pick Identify User. This identifies a user in Segment.

4. Map fields

Match each Segment field on the left to the corresponding Quill Forms field on the right. Common mappings include respondent name, email, phone, and any custom form answers. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in Quill Forms. Check Segment to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
