How to Send Ultimate Member Data to Braze

Braze is a marketing automation platform. Ultimate Member manages a user registers or updates their profile, but sending that data to external platforms needs an integration. AFI bridges that gap to Braze.

What you will need

Connect Braze to AFI

1. Log in to your Braze dashboard.
2. Go to Settings → API Keys and copy your API Key.
3. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Braze.
4. Enter the API Key and REST endpoint, then click Save.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it Ultimate Member to Braze.

2. Pick your trigger

Select Ultimate Member as the form provider. AFI fires when a user registers or updates their profile, giving you access to user name, email, username, account type, and custom profile fields.

3. Select Braze as the destination

Choose Braze from the platform dropdown and pick Add User. This creates or updates a user in Braze.

4. Map fields

Match each Braze field on the left to the corresponding Ultimate Member field on the right. Common mappings include user name, email, username, account type, and custom profile fields. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in Ultimate Member. Check Braze to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
