How to Send Bookly Data to SendGrid

SendGrid is a email delivery platform for managing subscribers and campaigns. Bookly handles an appointment is booked on your WordPress site. SendGrid is where that data needs to go. Here is how to connect them without Zapier or code.

Why not just use Zapier?

Connect SendGrid to AFI

1. Log in to your SendGrid account.
2. Go to Settings → API Keys and create a key.
3. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → SendGrid.
4. Paste the API Key and click Save Changes.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it Bookly to SendGrid.

2. Pick your trigger

Select Bookly as the form provider. AFI fires when an appointment is booked, giving you access to customer name, email, phone, service name, staff member, appointment date, and time.

3. Select SendGrid as the destination

Choose SendGrid from the platform dropdown and pick Add Contact. This adds a contact to a SendGrid list.

4. Map fields

Match each SendGrid field on the left to the corresponding Bookly field on the right. Common mappings include customer name, email, phone, service name, staff member, appointment date, and time. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in Bookly. Check SendGrid to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
