How to Send ARForms Data to Gist

Gist is a CRM and live chat that helps you manage contacts and track interactions. Getting ARForms submission into Gist does not require external tools. Advanced Form Integration handles it natively, and this guide covers every step.

What you will need

Connect Gist to AFI

1. Log in to your Gist account.
2. Go to Settings → API and copy your API Key.
3. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Gist.
4. Paste the API Key and click Save Changes.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it ARForms to Gist.

2. Pick your trigger

Select ARForms as the form provider. AFI fires when a form is submitted, giving you access to submitter name, email, phone, and any custom form fields.

3. Select Gist as the destination

Choose Gist from the platform dropdown and pick Add Contact. This creates a contact in Gist.

4. Map fields

Match each Gist field on the left to the corresponding ARForms field on the right. Common mappings include submitter name, email, phone, and any custom form fields. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in ARForms. Check Gist to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
