Tidio is a live chat platform. Events can trigger instant notifications. Getting Email Subscribers subscriber into Tidio does not require external tools. Advanced Form Integration handles it natively, and this guide covers every step.

Skip the automation middleman

Rather than routing data through a third-party cloud, AFI sends it directly from your WordPress server to live chat. No task meter, no monthly bill.

What you will need

  • A WordPress site with Email Subscribers installed and configured.
  • A Tidio account.
  • The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).

Connect Tidio to AFI

  1. Log in to your Tidio account.
  2. Copy your API Key.
  3. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Tidio.
  4. Paste the API Key and click Save Changes.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it Email Subscribers to Tidio.

2. Pick your trigger

Select Email Subscribers as the form provider. AFI fires when a subscriber joins a list or confirms their subscription, giving you access to subscriber name, email, list ID, and subscription status.

3. Select Tidio as the destination

Choose Tidio from the platform dropdown and pick Add Contact. This creates a contact in Tidio.

4. Map fields

Match each Tidio field on the left to the corresponding Email Subscribers field on the right. Common mappings include subscriber name, email, list ID, and subscription status. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in Email Subscribers. Check Tidio to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.

Free vs Pro

The free version maps email and name to Tidio with unlimited records. Pro adds custom field mapping. No per-record fees on any plan.

Frequently asked questions

Which Email Subscribers events trigger the integration?

AFI fires when a subscriber joins a list or confirms their subscription. This covers new submissions and relevant status changes.

Will adding this slow down my site?

No. AFI sends data to the destination after the event completes. Your site performance is not affected.

Can I send data to multiple platforms?

Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every record flows to all of them simultaneously.
