How to Send weForms Data to Vertical Response
Vertical Response is a email marketing platform for managing subscribers and campaigns. If you want weForms submission synced to Vertical Response, you could pay for a cloud automation service. Or you could do it directly from WordPress. This is the direct route.
Why not just use Zapier?
For connecting weForms to email marketing, a cloud automation service adds cost and a dependency on an external server. AFI runs on your site with no task limits.
What you will need
- A WordPress site with weForms installed and configured.
- A Vertical Response account.
- The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).
Connect Vertical Response to AFI
- Log in to your Vertical Response account.
- Go to Settings → API and copy your API Key.
- In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Vertical Response.
- Paste the API Key and click Save Changes.
Setting up the integration
1. Create a new integration
Go to AFI → Add New. Name it weForms to Vertical Response.
2. Pick your trigger
Select weForms as the form provider. AFI fires when a form is submitted, giving you access to submitter name, email, phone, and any custom form fields.
3. Select Vertical Response as the destination
Choose Vertical Response from the platform dropdown and pick Add Contact. This adds a contact to a Vertical Response list.
4. Map fields
Match each Vertical Response field on the left to the corresponding weForms field on the right. Common mappings include submitter name, email, phone, and any custom form fields. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.
5. Add conditions if needed
Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.
6. Save and test
Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in weForms. Check Vertical Response to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
Free vs Pro
The free version maps email and name to Vertical Response with unlimited records. Pro adds custom field mapping. No per-record fees on any plan.
Frequently asked questions
Which weForms events trigger the integration?
AFI fires when a form is submitted. This covers new submissions and relevant status changes.
Will adding this slow down my site?
No. AFI sends data to the destination after the event completes. Your site performance is not affected.
Can I send data to multiple platforms?
Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every record flows to all of them simultaneously.
