Resend is a email delivery platform for managing subscribers and campaigns. Every weForms submission record should flow into Resend automatically. This guide shows how to set that up in five minutes.

The direct approach

AFI delivers submission data straight from WordPress to Resend. No third-party cloud, no per-task fees, and every request is logged for troubleshooting.

What you will need

  • A WordPress site with weForms installed and configured.
  • A Resend account.
  • The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).

Connect Resend to AFI

  1. Log in to your Resend account.
  2. Copy your API Key from settings.
  3. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Resend.
  4. Paste the API Key and click Save Changes.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it weForms to Resend.

2. Pick your trigger

Select weForms as the form provider. AFI fires when a form is submitted, giving you access to submitter name, email, phone, and any custom form fields.

3. Select Resend as the destination

Choose Resend from the platform dropdown and pick Add Contact. This adds a contact to Resend.

4. Map fields

Match each Resend field on the left to the corresponding weForms field on the right. Common mappings include submitter name, email, phone, and any custom form fields. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in weForms. Check Resend to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.

Free vs Pro

The free version maps email and name to Resend with unlimited records. Pro adds custom field mapping. No per-record fees on any plan.

Frequently asked questions

Which weForms events trigger the integration?

AFI fires when a form is submitted. This covers new submissions and relevant status changes.

Will adding this slow down my site?

No. AFI sends data to the destination after the event completes. Your site performance is not affected.

Can I send data to multiple platforms?

Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every record flows to all of them simultaneously.
