How to Send weForms Data to MailRelay
MailRelay is a email marketing platform for managing subscribers and campaigns. Every weForms submission record should flow into MailRelay automatically. This guide shows how to set that up in five minutes.
The direct approach
AFI delivers submission data straight from WordPress to MailRelay. No third-party cloud, no per-task fees, and every request is logged for troubleshooting.
What you will need
- A WordPress site with weForms installed and configured.
- A MailRelay account.
- The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).
Connect MailRelay to AFI
- Log in to your MailRelay account.
- Go to Settings → API and copy your API Key.
- In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → MailRelay.
- Paste the API Key and your account name, then click Save.
Setting up the integration
1. Create a new integration
Go to AFI → Add New. Name it weForms to MailRelay.
2. Pick your trigger
Select weForms as the form provider. AFI fires when a form is submitted, giving you access to submitter name, email, phone, and any custom form fields.
3. Select MailRelay as the destination
Choose MailRelay from the platform dropdown and pick Add Subscriber. This adds a subscriber to a MailRelay list.
4. Map fields
Match each MailRelay field on the left to the corresponding weForms field on the right. Common mappings include submitter name, email, phone, and any custom form fields. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.
5. Add conditions if needed
Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.
6. Save and test
Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in weForms. Check MailRelay to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
Free vs Pro
The free version maps email and name to MailRelay with unlimited records. Pro adds custom field mapping. No per-record fees on any plan.
Frequently asked questions
Which weForms events trigger the integration?
AFI fires when a form is submitted. This covers new submissions and relevant status changes.
Will adding this slow down my site?
No. AFI sends data to the destination after the event completes. Your site performance is not affected.
Can I send data to multiple platforms?
Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every record flows to all of them simultaneously.
