How to Send weForms Data to Dynamics 365
Dynamics 365 is a CRM that helps you manage contacts and track interactions. Getting weForms submission into Dynamics 365 does not require external tools. Advanced Form Integration handles it natively, and this guide covers every step.
The direct approach
AFI delivers submission data straight from WordPress to Dynamics 365. No third-party cloud, no per-task fees, and every request is logged for troubleshooting.
What you will need
- A WordPress site with weForms installed and configured.
- A Dynamics 365 account.
- The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).
Connect Dynamics 365 to AFI
Dynamics 365 uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → Dynamics 365, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.
Setting up the integration
1. Create a new integration
Go to AFI → Add New. Name it weForms to Dynamics 365.
2. Pick your trigger
Select weForms as the form provider. AFI fires when a form is submitted, giving you access to submitter name, email, phone, and any custom form fields.
3. Select Dynamics 365 as the destination
Choose Dynamics 365 from the platform dropdown and pick Add Lead. This creates a lead in Dynamics 365.
4. Map fields
Match each Dynamics 365 field on the left to the corresponding weForms field on the right. Common mappings include submitter name, email, phone, and any custom form fields. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.
5. Add conditions if needed
Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.
6. Save and test
Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in weForms. Check Dynamics 365 to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
Free vs Pro
The free version maps name, email, and phone to Dynamics 365 with unlimited records. Pro adds custom field mapping. No per-record fees on any plan.
Frequently asked questions
Which weForms events trigger the integration?
AFI fires when a form is submitted. This covers new submissions and relevant status changes.
Will adding this slow down my site?
No. AFI sends data to the destination after the event completes. Your site performance is not affected.
Can I send data to multiple platforms?
Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every record flows to all of them simultaneously.
